About GFR
GFR (Glomerular Filtration Rate) is the best measure of kidney function. It estimates how much blood the kidneys filter per minute. This calculator uses the CKD-EPI equation (2021). A GFR below 60 mL/min/1.73m² for 3 or more months indicates Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
